Cashify Interest Rate: APR, Service Fee and Total Cost
Quick answer: Cashify's store listing states a maximum APR of 30%, a transaction fee of 0, and a one-time sign fee plus a service fee per transaction that can range from 0% to 16%. Your actual cost depends on your offer, so always check the total repayment amount shown in the app before you accept.
Published figures at a glance
| Item | What the Google Play listing states |
|---|---|
| Loan amount | ₱1,000 to ₱50,000 |
| Loan term | 91 to 180 days |
| Maximum APR | 30% |
| Transaction fee | 0 |
| Other fees | One-time sign fee and a service fee per transaction, from a minimum of 0% to a maximum of 16% |
The App Store description gives the same amount range, term and maximum APR, but words the fee lines differently (it shows both the transaction fee and the service fee as 0 in its summary). When two listings differ, treat the offer screen inside the app as the final word and keep a screenshot of it.

Interest, service fee and sign fee: what each one is
Interest (APR). The annual rate used to calculate the interest charge on your principal. A loan that lasts 91 days pays only part of a year's interest.
Service fee. A charge applied to the loan, shown as a percentage of the principal. In the published example, the service fee is 10% of ₱10,000.
One-time sign fee. A charge for signing the loan agreement, mentioned in the Google Play description. The listing does not state a peso amount, so the loan offer is where you will see it.
Transaction fee. Listed as 0.
Together these make up the total cost of the loan. The headline interest rate alone does not tell you what you will pay.
Worked example from the published sample
The Google Play listing gives a sample loan, which we reproduce here so you can see how the pieces add up:
| Step | Calculation | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Principal | ₱10,000 for 91 days (3 months) | ₱10,000 |
| Interest at 12% a year | ₱10,000 × 12% ÷ 365 × 91 | about ₱299.17 |
| Service fee at 10% | ₱10,000 × 10% | ₱1,000 |
| Total repayment | Principal + interest + service fee | ₱11,299.17 |
| Monthly installment (3 payments) | ₱11,299.17 ÷ 3 | about ₱3,766.39 |
This is the lender's own example, not an offer made to you. Your own rate and fees may be different. To try other amounts yourself, use the general calculator tool on our homepage and the guide in Cashify Loan Calculator: Estimate Your Repayment.
Why the total cost can look higher than the interest rate
On a short loan, fees that are charged once weigh heavily. In the sample above, the interest is about ₱299 but the service fee is ₱1,000. The extra cost over the principal is ₱1,299.17, which is about 13% of the amount borrowed for a loan lasting three months.
If you convert that to an annual figure, the effective cost is much higher than 12%. That is why regulators and consumer groups encourage borrowers to compare the total amount repaid and not only the stated interest rate. Our guide to how to compare online loan costs in the Philippines shows how to do this with any lender.
How to read your Cashify disclosure before accepting
- Note the principal you will actually receive. Fees may be deducted or added.
- Check the service fee and sign fee as peso amounts.
- Confirm the interest rate and how many days it applies.
- Look at the total repayment and the number of installments.
- Write down each due date.
- Take a screenshot before you tap accept.
If something is unclear, ask support to explain it in writing. For the practical rules on repayment periods, see Cashify loan terms.
What happens if you pay late
Late payment can add charges and affect your future borrowing. The published listing does not state a separate late fee schedule, so check the loan agreement and read Cashify payment penalty and Cashify overdue in the Philippines.
Borrowing responsibly
A few habits keep costs under control:
- Borrow the smallest amount you need.
- Choose the shortest term you can handle, because total interest grows with time.
- Never borrow to repay another loan app without calculating the total cost first.
- Keep a record of every payment.
If you plan to repeat a loan, see Cashify reloan to understand what may change.
Questions to ask support before you accept
If any part of your offer is unclear, write to support and ask for answers in writing. Useful questions include:
- What is the exact peso amount of the sign fee and the service fee on my loan?
- Is the interest calculated on the full principal for the whole term, or reduced as I pay?
- What is the total amount I will repay if I pay every installment on time?
- What additional charges apply if I pay a few days late?
Keep the replies together with your screenshots. A clear written answer protects you if the figures on your repayment screen later differ from what you expected.
Comparing with other lenders
The same questions apply to any app. Use the same four numbers for each lender (principal received, total repaid, number of days, and fees) so the comparison is fair. Our comparison page and the guide on comparing online loan costs show the method, and you can test different amounts with the general calculator before you decide.
FAQ
The store listing states a maximum APR of 30%. The rate on your loan may be lower and is shown in your offer.
The Google Play listing states a service fee from 0% to 16% and a one-time sign fee. The App Store listing words the fees differently, so read the in-app disclosure.
In the lender's own example (91 days, 12% interest, 10% service fee), the total repayment is about ₱11,299.17. Your offer may differ.
Short-term loans often cost more than their annual rate suggests. Compare the total repayment amount, not only the APR.
