About Us
Cashify (cashify-ph.com) is an independent information and comparison website for people in the Philippines who are thinking about borrowing through an online lending app. We explain how these apps work, what they cost, how they are regulated and what to check before you tap "apply." This page tells you who we are, what we do, what we do not do and how you can judge our work for yourself.
Who we are
Cashify is written and maintained by the Cashify Editorial Team, a small group of researchers and writers who follow Philippine online lending. We read the rules that govern lending and financing companies, we check public registers and store listings, and we turn what we find into plain English for ordinary borrowers.
A note on the name: the Cashify lending app is a product of its own operator, a registered lending company. This website is a separate, independent publication that reviews that app among others. We are not the app, we do not speak for its operator and we are not affiliated with it.
What we do
Borrowing online is easy, which is exactly why mistakes are easy too. Many people sign a loan agreement on a phone screen in a few minutes, without a clear picture of the total cost or their rights. Our work is to slow that moment down by giving you clear, sourced answers to the questions people actually ask.
- We explain registration. We show how to check whether a lender and its app appear in the lists published by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and what those lists do and do not tell you.
- We break down costs. We explain interest, service fees, sign fees and late charges, and we show how to calculate the total repayment.
- We describe the process. We walk through requirements, approval, payout, repayment and account questions step by step.
- We report what is public. Where borrowers publicly report problems such as aggressive collection, we say so in neutral language, label it as unverified user reports and link to our sources. Where there is no public information, we say that too and do not guess.
- We explain your rights. We summarize the rules on fair debt collection and data privacy, and we point to the SEC and the National Privacy Commission for complaints.
- We help you compare. Our homepage lists loan apps that readers often compare, so you can look at more than one option before you decide.
What we do not do
Being clear about our limits protects you.
- We are not a lender. We do not lend money, broker loans, take applications or make credit decisions.
- We are not a financial or legal adviser. Our articles are general information, not advice about your personal situation.
- We do not ask for payments, IDs, passwords or one-time codes. If someone uses our name to ask you for any of these, do not respond, and contact us.
- We do not guarantee that any lender will approve you or that any figure on this site will match your offer.
How we work
Every article follows the same approach, described in more detail in our editorial policy.
- Start from primary sources. We use official registers, regulator circulars and advisories, the lender's own store listings and published terms, and the text of the laws and rules themselves.
- State what the source says. We attribute figures to their source and avoid adding claims the source does not support.
- Separate fact from report. Registration records and published terms are facts. Comments in forums and reviews are user reports. We never present one as the other.
- Show the arithmetic. When we talk about cost, we show how a number is calculated so you can repeat it with your own offer.
- Correct mistakes. If a reader shows us that something is wrong or out of date, we check it and fix it.
Our coverage
We focus on one subject: online lending apps used by Filipino borrowers. Staying narrow lets us go deeper than a general finance site. Our articles are grouped into two collections.
- Reviews answer specific questions about a single app, such as registration, interest rate, repayment, complaints and contact options.
- Guides cover advice that applies to any lender: how to check registration, how to compare costs, how to spot fake apps and what your rights are.
Why independence matters to us
A comparison site is only useful if readers can trust that its descriptions are not shaped by who is being described. We keep our writing separate from any lender's wishes. Our editorial policy explains how we choose what to write, how we handle sources and how we treat any commercial relationships. We would rather publish a limit ("this is not published") than fill a gap with a guess.
Keeping information current
Online lenders change their apps, fees and names. For example, a lender may rebrand, update its terms or change its listing. We review our pages when we learn of changes, and the date shown on each page reflects our current publication cycle. Even so, a page can be out of date, so always confirm key figures in the lender's own app and on the official registers before you decide.
Using this site wisely
- Treat our pages as a starting point for your own checks, not the last word.
- Read the loan offer and the agreement in the app before you accept.
- Borrow only what you can repay, and keep your receipts and screenshots.
- If a lender behaves abusively, you can report it to the SEC and, where personal data is misused, to the National Privacy Commission. Our guide on lending app harassment and your rights explains how.
