Quick answer: Cashify is recorded with the SEC as an online lending platform of SunLoan Lending Investors Corporation (SEC Registration No. CS201900565, Certificate of Authority No. 2872). Check the current SEC list yourself before applying, because registration shows authority to operate, not low cost or guaranteed approval.

What "SEC registered" means for an online lending app
In the Philippines, a lending company must be set up as a corporation registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). It also needs a Certificate of Authority (CA) before it can lend to the public.
An app is a separate step. The lender has to report each online lending platform to the SEC, which publishes them in its List of Recorded Online Lending Platforms. Since 5 November 2021, the SEC has had a moratorium on registering new online lending platforms. That makes the list a useful first check: an app that is missing from it, or that lists a different company, deserves extra caution.
So "SEC registered" really covers three things: a registered company, a Certificate of Authority, and a platform recorded under that company's name.
Cashify's registration details
Cashify operates as a trade name of SunLoan Lending Investors Corporation. The company announced the name change from Cashola to Cashify in February 2026.
The SEC's list as of 2 November 2021 already recorded SunLoan Lending Investors Corporation under CS201900565 and CA No. 2872, with the platforms Cashola and Peso Plus. The newer version of the list, dated 13 March 2026, shows Cashify among the platforms recorded under the same company and registration number.
The same details appear in the app's official listings. The App Store entry names SUNLOAN LENDING INVESTORS CORP. as the provider and prints the SEC Registration No. and Certificate of Authority No. in its description. The Google Play listing prints the same numbers. When the company name, SEC number and CA number match across the store listings and the SEC list, that is a good sign you are looking at the right entity.
How to verify Cashify's SEC registration yourself
You do not need to take our word for it. It takes about two minutes:
- Open the SEC's page List of Recorded Online Lending Platforms at sec.gov.ph.
- Press Ctrl+F (or use "Find in page" on your phone) and search for SunLoan or Cashify.
- Check that the company name reads SunLoan Lending Investors Corporation and that the SEC number is CS201900565.
- Confirm that Cashify appears among the online lending platforms listed beside that company.
- Note the date of the list version you are reading. The SEC updates the list from time to time, so always use the latest one.
- Open the app's listing on Google Play or the App Store and confirm the developer name and the SEC and CA numbers match what you saw on the SEC page.
- Check the SEC's public advisories for any notice about the company or platform. For a step-by-step guide that works for any app, see How to Check if a Lending App Is SEC-Registered.
What SEC registration does not tell you
Being recorded with the SEC is the minimum, not the full picture. It does not tell you:
- What the loan will cost. Interest, service fees and other charges differ by loan, so read the disclosure screen before you accept. Our guide to Cashify's interest rate and total cost explains the published figures.
- Whether you will be approved or how much you will get. Approval depends on the lender's own evaluation.
- How collection works in practice. Rules against unfair collection apply to every lender, and borrowers should keep their own records. For what users report publicly, see whether Cashify is legit or not.
Registration status can also change over time, which is why checking the current list matters more than relying on an old screenshot.
Similar names are not the same company
Lending app names can look alike, so match the company name and registration number rather than the app name:
- SunLoan Lending Investors Corporation (CS201900565) operates Cashify.
- SunCash Lending Investors Corp. is a different company with a different registration number (CS201825707). The SEC cancelled its certificate of authority in 2023, which has no connection to SunLoan.
- Cashalo is operated by Paloo Financing Inc., not by SunLoan.
- The Philippine app is also unrelated to Indian companies that use the same word in their names.

Keep your own records
Whatever lender you use, save screenshots of the loan offer, the total repayment amount, due dates and your payment receipts. If something goes wrong, those records make a complaint to the lender, the SEC or the National Privacy Commission much easier to support.
