Cashify Loan Review Complaints: What Is on Record?

By Cashify Editorial Team · Published

Quick answer: Public records show Cashify as a registered, SEC-recorded platform. User complaints exist on store pages, social media and forums, mostly about fees, app problems and collection contact. We found no published SEC enforcement action naming Cashify or SunLoan, and we treat user complaints as unverified reports.

What "on record" means

"On record" can mean different things. We separate them so you can judge each one:

Type of record Where to look What it tells you
Regulator records SEC list of recorded online lending platforms and SEC advisories Whether the company is authorized, and whether the SEC has issued notices
Store reviews Google Play and App Store pages Experiences of app users, with ratings and comments
Social media and forums Facebook posts, Reddit threads Individual experiences, usually unverified
Independent review sites Third-party review pages Summaries, sometimes with opinion
Company statements Store listings, support replies The lender's own description of its service

Regulator records

On the regulatory side, Cashify appears under SunLoan Lending Investors Corporation in the SEC's list of recorded online lending platforms (see Cashify Is SEC Registered or Not in Philippines 2026). In our review of public SEC announcements we did not find an enforcement action naming SunLoan or Cashify. Because the SEC publishes notices over time, check its advisories yourself for the latest status. We are not able to confirm what complaints may be pending, because those are not always published.

Themes in user complaints

Looking across these sources, the themes that appear most often are:

  1. Fees and total cost. Some users say the amount they repaid was higher than they expected, which is why we explain the published fees in Cashify interest rate.
  2. Collection contact. Frequent reminders, and in some accounts contact with other people, after a missed payment.
  3. App and account issues. Problems with access, verification or payments; see Cashify issue.
  4. Support responsiveness. Some users say replies are slow or one-way.

We cannot say how many users hold each view. For perspective, a lender with more than a million downloads (as shown on Google Play) will have a wide range of experiences.

How borrowers resolved issues

Based on the guidance that regulators and consumer groups publish, borrowers who resolved problems tended to:

If you want to contact the lender, see Cashify customer care.

How to file a complaint properly

  1. Collect evidence. Screenshots of the loan offer, agreement, payments and messages.
  2. Write a timeline. Dates and what happened, in short, factual sentences.
  3. Contact the lender first in writing, and wait a reasonable time for a reply.
  4. Complain to the SEC about the conduct of a lending company, through its official contact details at sec.gov.ph.
  5. Complain to the National Privacy Commission about misuse of personal data, through privacy.gov.ph.
  6. Report threats of violence to the police.

How we handle complaints on this site

We report what is public and label it as such. We do not repeat accusations we cannot support, and we do not rank a lender solely by the volume of comments. For a summary that puts Cashify in context with other options, see our main Cashify page.

How much weight should complaints carry?

Complaints are useful, but they are only one input. A sensible way to weigh them is to ask how many independent sources mention the same issue, how recent they are, and whether the lender has responded. A complaint that is specific, dated and supported by screenshots is more informative than a general one. A lender can also have many satisfied customers whose experiences are not posted, because people are more likely to write when something goes wrong. For this reason, we combine complaints with documents (the SEC record, the loan disclosure) and with practical advice, so that you can make your own decision rather than relying on a single signal.

Complaints under the old and new names

Cashify rebranded from Cashola in 2026, so some complaints are filed under the earlier name and may not show up when you search for Cashify. If you are researching, search both names, and note the date of each post. A complaint from several years ago may relate to a different version of the app or a different team. At the same time, recent posts under the new name show what users are experiencing now. Reading both gives you a fairer picture. See Is Cashola and Cashify the Same? for the background.
